El Monte City School District is hosting two COVID-19 vaccine sites this Friday and Saturday! Anyone ages 5 and up can recieve the Pfizer vaccine. For more info and instructions on how to make an appointment, click headline.
The El Monte City School District will be closed from Monday, November 22 through Friday, November 26 for Thanksgiving Break. We will resume our regular daily schedule on Monday, November 29.
CA State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tony Thurmond visited Rio Hondo School in El Monte City School District on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. The purpose of the visit was to observe the District's Nutrition Services program as well as the school's day-to-day operations. Mr. Thurmond has been a major advocate for Universal Student Meals and wanted to see firsthand how Districts are tackling meal service, especially during the pandemic.
