Principal's Message
Welcome to Durfee School, home of the Warriors! Durfee has a rich tradition of academic achievement and is committed to educating the whole child. At Durfee, we provide a safe, academically challenging and socially supportive environment in which students can learn and grow. Our Durfee staff is dedicated and committed to providing the best education possible so that each of our students can be successful. Our core, standards-based curriculum is brought to life through differentiated instruction, hand on experiences, field trips, assemblies, and special events. I firmly believe that Durfee offers a top rate educational experience for all our students.
I would be remiss in not addressing the challenges we will inevitably face in this 2021-22 school year. However, our Durfee staff is committed to partnering with our families to remove barriers and provide needed interventions and supports to ensure that our students will be able to thrive, learn, and experience success. This is a unique and challenging time in education, however, I believe that it is also a time of great possibilities. My goal is to provide leadership that empowers our staff and students so that we meet the moment and come out better and stronger.
I look forward to collaborating and continuing to build strong relations with all stakeholders to provide the best possible learning experience for our students. Please know that my door is always open, and I encourage you to reach out with questions, concerns, or just to have a friendly chat with Mr. Yepez. ¡Bienvenidos a Durfee, hogar de los Guerreros! Durfee tiene una rica tradición de logros académicos y está comprometida con la educación integral del niño. En Durfee, proporcionamos un entorno seguro, académicamente desafiante y de apoyo social en el que los estudiantes pueden aprender y crecer. Nuestro personal de Durfee está dedicado y comprometido a brindar la mejor educación posible para que cada uno de nuestros estudiantes pueda tener éxito. Nuestro plan de estudios básico, basado en estándares, cobra vida a través de instrucción diferenciada, experiencias prácticas, excursiones, asambleas y eventos especiales. Creo firmemente que Durfee ofrece una experiencia educativa de primer nivel para todos nuestros estudiantes.
Sería negligente no hablar de los desafíos que inevitablemente enfrentaremos en este año escolar 2021-22. Sin embargo, nuestro personal de Durfee está comprometido a asociarse con nuestras familias para eliminar las barreras y proporcionar las intervenciones y los apoyos necesarios para garantizar que nuestros estudiantes puedan prosperar, aprender y experimentar el éxito. Este es un momento único y desafiante en la educación, sin embargo, creo que también es un momento de grandes posibilidades.
